TALEEN HANNA

Welcome to my page! I am currently in my senior year studying journalism and French at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.

Whether I was making “movies” with my friends or filming a day at the stables riding my horse, I have always had a passion for storytelling in some capacity.

During high school, I was an active member of the National FFA Organization. After winning the National Agricultural Communications Career Development Event with my team, I was not only excited that our hard work paid off, but I was also cheerful because I knew I wanted to pursue a career in media.

I wanted to gain more experience in print content, so I emailed the editor of Eventing Nation (EN) at the time for some college and career advice. EN connects equestrians to current events in the industry, and having my own horse, I was an avid reader. Asking for advice led to an internship with EN, which gave me a strong journalistic foundation even before stepping into a college classroom.

During my time at Mercer, I have enjoyed learning how to tell stories through writing, photographs, videos, and audio pieces. Learning how to adapt those skills to fit social media and digital marketing has also been a highlight of my education thus far.

I’m equally passionate about sharing significant, timely stories as well as those that are seemingly mundane at first glance, but will reassure one of the world’s charm.
